STRONGLINES KENNEL
I did purchase my first Labrador 1985, so I must say I am still quite new in this breed. My foundation bitch was a daughter to well known INT & SCANDINAVIEN CH Licithas Blizzard. And I bred my first litter in very young age. My first litter produced one INT. CH, one FIN Show and Tracking CH and one Tracking CH (who also won finnish championships in tracking for all breeds), then I felt in love totally with labradors.
Up to date I have bred number of litters and approximately there is
30 Finnish Champions
11 Tracking Champions
and around 70 of my bred dogs has been qualifield in the field. And not forgetting those who has gained some high field trial results as well (there are some dogs competing in highest class in field trial ). At the moment there are some champions in 4 different continents some in Russia, American, and Australia not forgetting the scandinavian ones. Thanks to their owners who have been so active and campaining them towards champion titles in their own countries.I am really pround of that as my dogs are so called Show dogs, but mainly they can still work too.
Different dogs from my kennel from different countries has 120 certificates and about 30 CACIBs.
Even the pictures look that I just have yellows and I do have all three colours, blacks and chocolates as well.
Even I think it is really difficult to keep chocolates and yellows together, so I guess I try to keep them separately as different line.I have done number of artificial inseminations with fresh and frozen semen from abroad. Like I have used one of the top producers in the breed Am CH Dickendalls Arnold, and SW CH Gladlab Chase Me Charly, Fielvalley Fabianco, Guidelines Copyright just to mention some and last but not least I have a lovely litter here by Lembas To The Moon And Back.(Reserve CC winner in England) But that is one way how you can get new bloodlines into your country and especially into your own hands
I have bought pups from England and USA just mentioning kennels Carpenny, Blondella, Lyndhorst and Dickendalls in order to get breeding material.
By this time I have already my 4-th generation of my own breeding and 5-th from my foundation bitch Applehills Mayday, who truly was a great producer. Some dogs which I should remember from the past are defenately my foundation FIN Tracking CH Applehills Mayday and her daughter INT &FIN CH Strongline's Incandescent and son MULTI CH Strongline's Flame of Fame. Not forgetting FIN SHOW & TR CH Strongline's My Pint Of View and the new beginnings wonderfull foundation INT & FIN CH Stronglines Ever Known who has produced number of winning dogs but especially number of nice producers in her kids and grandchildren Jolly Known and Just Illusion, Knock ON Wood, Keep Smiling and Karelian Maid, Comrade and Cooling Around, Heaven Knows and Hooligan, Easy-Going, Eternal Flame and Easy Known, Insider(hope I didn't forgot many others) and the youngster of the kennel Strongline's Piggywiggy who already has 2 certificates from the shows as well first prize from field trial in beginners class at the age of one year.
We try to x-ray as many dogs as possible from each litter both elbows
and hips and check the eyes. To get somekind of idea what that combination
produced. During the years I have done lot of line breedings gaining both goods
and bads from those decissions.Whether it is lookwise or healthwise but as we
know nobody is perfect and I think mainly
everyones
aim is breed healthy good looking and workable labradors. At home we only keep few dogs because i want to train them too for
field and we do some bird hunting during the hunting season too.So thats why I
co-own
number of dogs with friends. I have had opportunities to
travel a bit around the world and seeing our dearly loved breed labradors in
different counties like America , Russia and Scandinavia and other european
countries. I have been privileged to see many wonderfull dogs in my life and
meet those wonderfull lab people too.
I have visited dog show or field trials or fellow breeders in Sweden, Norway,
Estonia, Germany, Danmark, Netherland, Belgium, France, England, Austria, USA
and Canada, and I am so gratefull that I have got so many new friends around the
world through this hobby. During this year I have only been ones in Sweden and
ones in england to see some nice labradors. I have exported some puppies around
the world.
All the best for all lab people in Russia and keep up the good work in the future too.
